Red Squirrel Photography Workshops

Jumping Red SquirrelJumping Red SquirrelA red squirrel leaping through the air in Northumberland.

Come and photograph the beautiful British red squirrel in the Northumberland countryside, just outside of Hexham. Join me in my woodland hide for a 1 to 1 session photographing this incredible mammal.

As well as red squirrels, many woodland birds visit all throughout the day, including redpolls and woodpeckers. I will be on hand to tell you about the red squirrels and their behaviour, as it is a topic I am deeply involved in. Optional tuition is included, where I will help you to develop your photographic skills.

It is in this woodland that I take all of my red squirrel images. The location itself is lovely, and the squirrels in the woodland visit each day and usually spend much of their time at the hide.

The hide is built for photography, and even includes a reflection pool so you can take stunning shots of squirrels reflected in water.

My red squirrel workshops are currently unavailable. Instead, I recommend you book with my colleague, Simon, at Nature TTL. Click for more information.
